A single document can protect your investment and business. A non-disclosure agreement is an essential agreement between two or more people and/or businesses that dictates how information is handled. The agreement not only specifies what is confidential information but how that information is shared or, in most cases, not shared. A non-disclosure agreement (sometimes referred to as an NDA) can also set out the consequences of any breach of the agreement if one party discloses information that they should not have. Non-disclosure agreements are one of the first agreements used in business law and corporate law for dealing with employees, contractors, potential investors, purchasers, etc.
