BPTC Criminal Litigation Identification Warnings

The Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC, Bar Vocational Course prior to the 2010-2011 academic year) is a postgraduate course that is completed by those wishing to be called to the Bar, i.e. to practise as a barrister in England and Wales. Criminal procedure refers to the adjudication process of the criminal law. While criminal procedure differs dramatically by jurisdiction, the process generally begins with a formal criminal charge and results in the conviction or acquittal of the defendant.
