Experts on this Forum panel – all of whom have held senior federal government positions dealing with taxation, the budget, and the economy – assess the prospects for the president’s program, the challenges of turning his populist rhetoric into policy reality, and whether proposals being developed by Trump and Congress will translate into higher living standards and for whom.

Jason Furman – Senior Fellow, Peterson Institute for International Economics; served as chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers and deputy director of the National Economic Council under President Barack Obama.
