http://law.leiden.edu.nl It was 25 years ago that the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted. This anniversary presents a unique opportunity to take stock of the impact it has had and to provide a platform for reflection about the future of children’s rights implementation. Academics, professionals & students from all over the globe discuss 25 years Children’s Rights.

The conference is part of a whole week of festivities organized by Leiden University, the City of Leiden, UNICEF The Netherlands and the Dutch NGO Coalition on Children’s Rights. This programme also includes the Leiden Children’s Rights Summit on Universal Children’s Day, the Leiden Freedom Lecture, an international moot court competition on children’s rights for students and the inaugural lecture of Prof Julia Sloth-Nielsen.
