Webinar: Abortion Rights at the Supreme Court: Considering Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt

In this webinar, legal experts from UCLA School of Law, the Williams Institute, and Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California analyze the critical questions before the U.S. Supreme Court this week in Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt. The Court is considering the constitutionality of abortion-provider regulations that threaten to shutter clinics. The laws purport to protect women’s health, but their purpose and effect is to restrict women’s access to abortion. The experts on our panel will consider how the Court might analyze these health-related regulations, what issues and questions emerged at oral argument, and what the impact of the Court’s decision will be on women’s reproductive rights across the country.

Speakers include:
– Douglas NeJaime, Faculty Director, Williams Institute, Professor of Law, UCLA School of Law
– Adam Winkler, Professor of Law, UCLA School of Law
– Beth Parker, Chief Legal Counsel, Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California
