On March 7, Elizabeth Hughes bid farewell to the law school where she completed her JD and LLM and, since 2005, has served as Assistant Professor of Law and Assistant Dean, Academic. As the next Provincial Tax Commissioner of Nova Scotia, she will advise the government on tax matters as well as design, develop, and implement tax policy and programs in the province.
To thank Hughes for her contributions to the law school, faculty and students gathered to wish her luck in her new senior government role. But don’t despair! She will continue to serve as a part-time faculty member overseeing court clerkships at the Schulich School of Law.
